it for Christ. Do
or in the present
At this time of year we look back and
of what we did or didn’t do for the past
Many times we look back and think how we
do things different if we had the chance.
Sammy and Martha Chacon enjoyed having their daughter Linda and
their son Sammy at home for a visit during the holidays.
Tickets are now available at local businesses. Pur-
chase an advance ticket and save money. The price

will be $8.00 for adults and $7.00 for children.
FFA and 4-H members are busy getting ready for the upcoming
stock show! This is an exciting event for the youth of Dell Valley
and a great learning experience for the youngsters as they show their
animals. Plan to attend and show your support for the youth and the
volunteers who have worked to organize this annual event.
Year might bring. We have hopes and dreams
the New Year is truly unknown. I" we allow
we can spend far too much time reflecting on
past year or on how to make the New Year
As we welcome the New Year, let each of us resolve to make 2008
the very best year for our community. Last year brought many
improvements as local businesses cleaned and painted their facilities.
We have recovered from several bouts of vandalism; lots have been
cleared and the airport lights have been replaced. Repair and painting
of the school begin late last year and continues. We have a beautiful
new park which is a welcomed addition to Main Street. May the
New Year bring continued improvements - you can help by getting
involved!! The Dell Valley Chamber of Commerce meets monthly
and welcomes new members and visitors. The Fair Association will
be planning the 50th Annual Dell Valley-Hudspeth County Fair and
volunteers are always welcomed!

Local Youth Turns Hobby into
Business
This enterprising young lady, Kasey Gentry, has turned
her hobby of baking into a profitable home business. Pic-
tured above with a sample of the Christmas cookies that
she baked and decorated for a local business, Kasey also
bakes and decorates cakes for all occasions! Kasey is the
daughter of Melvin and Carmen Gentry and the grand-
daughter of Phyllis Gentry of Dell City.

The last moment is now the past and the next is
