Men give me some credit for ge-
nius. All the genius I have lies
in this: When I have a subject
in hand, I study it profoundly.
Day and night it is before me. I
explore it in all its bearings. My
mind becomes pervaded with it.
Then the effort which I make is
what the people call the fruit of
genius. It is the fruit of labor and
thought.

grandaughter of Glynda Sanders of Dell City, is a student at Cloud-

Light
We live in a place where the sunset and sunrise can
only be described as beautiful on some days. We also
don't think about the lights in our house until the elec-
tricity goes off. Without thinking, I still try to turn on
the light while I have a flashlight in my hand.
Centuries ago in England, lanterns were hung in
church steeples at night. They were also hung in front
of homes. When the lantern went out or was missing,
the night watchman would cry, " Light your lantern,"
or, "Hang out your light." The lighted lanterns helped
to guide people moving through the streets of London
in thick fog and darkness.
Jesus said, "You are the light of the world." What kind
of a guide have you been in the lives of people around
you? Always let the light of Christ shine through you to
light the way for others to see Him.
