Brocaded Slipper and Other
Vietnamese Tales" to be their
guest on August 5th., at the

Lynette Vuong, who now
lives in Humble. Texas, lived
in Vietnam for 13 years and
experienced the Vietnamese
•people and, culture through
many roles as mother, teach-
er, interpreter and author.
Vuong will discuss not
only the collection of Viet-
namese fairytales contained in
her book, but also her life in
Vietnam as a writer of child
ren's books

man, Gilbert Allen
(Bo) Nelson, wanted
for investigation of
murder locally.
At 4:05 p.m. on
Dec 7, 1981. Conroe
police officers were
dispatched to 107 N.
8th Street, in refer-
ence to a dead body.
.Upon arrival, they
found the body of
Jerome (Jerry) Wil-
liam Reszetucha, 18
years old. Reszetu-
cha was found on the
floor by the front
door of the resi-
lience. eHe was
Mound hand and foot
with an electrical
extension cord. He
had been shot once
in the chest area.
Jerry was last
seen in the company
of Gilbert (Bo) Allen
Nelson III, the sus-
pect In this case.
Jerry and Bo were
seen together at a-
bout 5:15 p.m. and
they were enroute to
107 N, 8th Street, the
murder scene. As

Here we are in August al-
ready. Time.now to start shift-
ing into the things of Fall.
Football players are preparing
for their physicals and then the
two-a-day work-outs, Junior
High band started practice on
August 2, and everyday there
will be something going on in
preparation for School starting
Believe me, it is true that the
older you get the faster time
goes by.

have just returned from hay-
ing a wonderful time in Puerto
Vallarta, Mexico and Maury
Hass spent a week with her
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs
Carl Hass in Hallettsville! She
had more fun than her parents

a friend this week-end Judge
Jones has passed away and so

Judge was full of love " and ,
compassion for the whole hum-
an race. He will be missed.
I SPENT this past week-
end on a ranch just out of
Colmesneil, Texas with my son
Jimmie and his family Such
beautiful country, and I had a
wonderful time.
THE TROUBLE with
some people is that they won’t
admit their faults! I’d admit
mine, if I had any. .. ,
