Electra Star-News - Animal Control Officer Micki Mann and
Electra Police Chief Johnny Morris purchased a used vehicle
recently from the City of Wichita Falls. This new truck will
improve conditions for the animals while being transported.
The Baylor County Banner - The wheat cutting season be-
gan in Baylor County with the first load of wheat brought in to
Charlie Myers Grain. The wheat was cut from Cody Wright's
homeplace farm. The Chamber of Commerce presented the
family with a check to celebrate the first load harvested this
season.
The Albany News - A S66O.O0O bid for a new track facility
was approved by Albany trustees during the regular meeting
on May 21st. This will be an eight lane. 400 meter running
track and filed events facility.
The Menard News - The MISD Board of Trustees hired Martha
Ellis as superintendent, effective June 1st. Mrs. Ellis has been
assistant superintendent for the past year and was selected as
the sole finalist at the April board meeting.

will be held on July 4-7.

of Police Darwin Huston were
present to let us in on their situ-
ation and what they are doing
to stop the crime happening in
Stamford.
Officer Barnett explained that
Chris Keith had driven up on the
break in that occurred Friday
night June 1,2007. He was pa-
trolling the High School and had
gotten out of the car to check
the grounds. When he got to
the area between the gym and

sity in Stephenville to major in
Animal Science and be active
on the rodeo team.

as Sponsor. “1 was just run-
ning around the bouse yelling
‘I got it! I got it!’ It is such an
honor,” she exclaims.
As she sets the pattern each
night, she will be on her horse

horses made the cut from her
