CROW FLAT

We had a good general rain this weekend. The slow soaking started
Saturday evening and continued into the bight. Bob and Elizabeth
Jones had one inch and Scott and Becky Lewis report .9. Andy and
Nora Lea Lewis report .5 and Pete and Minnie Lewis report .4 to.6 at
their ranch. We were glad to get this moisture. It was getting dry
around here and we were ready for the rain.
Friday, Bobby and Pat Jones traveled to Kishamingo, Oklahoma to
spend the weekend with their daughter, Michelle Greeman and her
husband Ty and their son Trey. They went to celebrate Trey’s first
birthday on Sunday. They are expected home early this week, so I will
have more to tell about their trip next week.
Our condolences go to Jim Coody and his family for the loss of Jim’s
dad, Charles F. Coody. Charles was bom August 12, 1912 and died
September 19,2006. Funeral services were held in Alamogordo. Jim

friends, Wayne and Petey Lewis. Jonna Lou reports that Petey is
getting along pretty good. She had back surgery this summer. Jane and
Lou enjoyed their visit with Wayne and Petey. Saturday and Sunday,
Dale and Jonna Lou moved some cattle.

Saturday, 1 spent the day with my son Scott Lewis and his wife Becky.
Scott and Becky moved this week from the BT’s Ranch to the Wind
Mountain Ranch. Both ranches are owned by Tom Cooper. I went to
check out the new house. They are moved in and very happy in their
new home. After lunch, we went driving around the ranch. There is a
lot of beautiful country out there. I had very nice day with my kids.
Destiny is not a matter of chance; it is a matter
of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for; it is a
thing to be achieved.
