Dr. Jahan-Tigh is a family practice physician who has been serving
this area since 1994. Dr. Jahan-Tigh did his residency training here at
San Jacinto Methodist Hospital which is associated with UHHSC.
Although he loves his profession as a family practice physician, his
greatest achievement and source of joy are his four children; a son
and three daughters. His son, Reza, after obtaining a masters degree
in Environmental Toxicology, and a masters in Physiology with hon-
ors from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., then entered
that university’s medical school and is now an honor student in his
second year. His oldest daughter, Azra, a graduate of San Antonio
Medical School, is an internal medicine physician doing in-hospital
patient management for Kelsey-Seybold at St Lukes Hospital. His two
youngest daughters are honor students, studying pre-medicine at the
University of Houston. It is interesting that Dr. Jahan-Tigh home
schooled his four children until they entered college.
Dr. Jahan-Tigh believes that a truly spiritual and a strong
divine connection is the best medicine for a lot of mental and
physical disorders seen between families and individuals.
