from 7 p.m. -10 p.m. at the Community Center.
Members free; non-members $7.50 per dance.

Barbers Hill’s class of 1959 held a 50th Reunion Party in October Members of the class

Joseph and Frankie Jo Marcontell White. A friend and former coach, Lloyd Kelly, and a
few spouses, Carolyn Smith, Lee Neil Joseph, Alfred White, Debra Podraza, Nel
Honsinger and Linda Lawless enjoyed the festivities too.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town! Show
your holiday spirit and join the City of
Baytown for the 2009 Christmas Parade,
hosted by the Baytown Parks and
Recreation Department on Friday, Dec. 4.
Over 250 parade entries are anticipated
for this year’s parade. The theme this year
is “Under the Christmas Tree”. Spectators
will enjoy watching lighted floats, decorat-
ed vehicles, marching groups, school
bands, and Santa Claus parade down Texas
Avenue to kick off the holiday season.
The event will kick off the holiday cel-
ebrations followed by the Christmas on
Texas Avenue event on Saturday. The
parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Market
Street, and head down Texas Avenue, end-
ing at Commerce Street. The parade route
streets will begin closing at 5 p.m., and the
parade line-up will begin at 5:30 p.m.
Market Street will become a “one way”
street beginning at 5 p.m. (north-east
bound). The deadline to register for the
parade is Monday, Nov. 30 at noon.

Thanksgiving Community
Concert at 4 p.m. Sunday
at Cedar Bayou United
Methodist Church, located
at 2714 Ferry Road.
The nonprofit organiza-
tion invites the community
to come together for the
free event and enjoy the
talents of local musicians.
The organization has put
on two concerts a year, one
in spring and again during
the Thanksgiving holiday,
for nearly 20 years.
Musical performers at
the event will include Ruth

Richard Repique, the
Sterling Swing Choir,
TLC (Todd’s Little
Choir), The Cedar Bayou
United Methodist Church
