MAKING IT HAPPEN - It was the generosity of buyers like these that made the annual Hockley
County Junior Livestock Show and Sale a success. The sale, held Saturday, raised more than $130,000
in premiums for county FFA and 4-H students. A total of 160 animals made the sale. (Staff Photo)
STOCK SHOW PRINCESSES AND SWEETHEARTS—Prior to the start of the Hockley County
Junior Livestock Show Sale, 4-H Princesses and FFA Sweethearts were introduced. T he young ladies
helped the buyers by providing premium and add-on slips, as well as refreshments during the sale. The
4-H Princesses included Sarah Swanson, McKenzi Herrin, Brittany Ochoa, Magen Ochoa, Courtney
Chaney, Brooke Bryant, Bailey Robertson, Ashley Neal, Amanda Waters, Shelbi Holdman, Katherine
Albus, and Katelyn Doshier. FFA Sweethearts included Kayla Hodges, Kayla Ochoa, Samantha Harris,
