up for district and went 2-1 at the
Ralls tournament on March IO,
11 and I2 The team then opened
district play with a 5-12 loss to
Plains.
Smyer suffered an 8-7 loss to
Colorado City on March IO in the
first game of the tournament. i
Colorado City took an early
5-3 lead in the first inning. Both
teams made one run in the
second, and the Bobcats pulled
ahead with an unanswered two
runs in the third.
Colorado City edged out
Smyer with a run in the fourth,
and both teams scored a run in
the fifth inning for a Colorado
City win with a final score of 8-7.
Smyer had 11 hits and nine
errors in the game, while
Colorado City had nine hits and
five errors.
The Bobcats took an 18-9
win against Ralls’ JV team in the,
second game of the tournament.’'
Smyer took six runs in the first
inning and one in the second, and
Ralls scored all nine runs in the
third inning.
Smyer built on their lead
with 11 runs in the fourth inning
to take the win with a final score
of 18-9.

against Seagraves. The Bobcats

runs, while Smyer kept Seagraves

five runs, but Smyer took the win
with a final score of 18-6.

long jump of I2'2", Davilla had a
jump of 12'1" and Claire
Alvarado recorded a I T9" jump.
In the triple jump, Edwards
led the Lady Panthers with a
jump of 25'8", Ortiz finished
with a jump of 24'9". and Castro
recorded a jump of 21'3".
Participating in the shot put
for the Lady Panthers was Elliott
with a throw of 22'6" and Regan
Reding with a throw of 22T".
Elliott also competed in the
discus recording a throw of 60'
and Reding finihsed with a throw
of 50'.

The Whitharral Lady
Panthers junior high track team
traveled to Wellman Tuesday to
participate in the Wellman track
meet.
Competing in the 800 meter
run. Regan Reding finished the
race in 3:59 for the Lady
Panthers.
In the 100 meter dash,
Kenzie Pigg finished in 15.1.
Marisa Ortiz took a time of 15.5,
and Kristen Castro recorded a
time of 15.9.
Marisa Ortiz finished the 2(M)
meter dash in 33.6, Kristen
Castro had a lime of 34.0, and
Claire Alvarado finished with a
time of 36.6.
In the 400 meter run,
Michaela Elliott recorded a time
of 1:19.5 for the Lady Panthers.
Patrisha Edwards finished
the l(X) meter hurdles in 20.9,
Laci Alford took time of 21.3.
and Chrissy Goss added a time of
22.2.
Also participating in the 200
meter hurdles, Edwards finished
in 34.8. Alford took a time of
38.6, and Goss finished in 39.5.
In the relay competitions,
Maribel Davilla, Pigg. Aimee
Quilantan. and Edwards crossed
the finish line in 58.9 in the 400
meter relay.
Pigg. Quilantan, Alvarado,
and Davilla took a time of 2:12 in
the 8(X) meter relay.
Davila. Ortiz. Alford, and
Goss finished the 1000 meter
relay in 5:20.6.
In the field competitions.
Goss recorded a jump of 4'2" in
the high jump and Edwards
jumped a height of 4’.
