Both wore satin gowns of mystic
purple. Serving as flower girl was
the bride's daughter, Meacheala
Fernandez, wearing a white full-
length satin princess style gown
accentuated by lace and pearls
and a princess tiara with blusher.
The groom chose western
style black tuxedos with bolero
ties for himself, his best man,
Ron Furley, and groomsman,
Lance Sigmund, both of Houston.
As part of their attire, each wore
a black Stetson hat. Justin Bissett,
the couple's 16-month-old son,
served as ring bearer. He wore a
black tuxedo with tails. He was
assisted by Sarah Arredondo,
friend of the bride, as he walked
down the isle.
Serving as ushers were
Robert Frye of Austin, and Brock
Frye of Humble, both brothers of
the bride. They wore identical
western cut black tuxedos with
tails and bolero ties.
Fred and Patti Fisk of
Kingwood honored the couple
with singing "The Wedding
Song” to begin their ceremony.
Robert Frye sang "The Blower's
Daughter” during the lighting of
the unity candle.
A special ceremony was held
between James and Meacheala
uniting them as a family. As
James presented Meacheala with
a promise ring, Robert Frye
performed a song written

A rehearsal dinner was held
by the couple on Friday, March
18, upstairs in the Spaghetti
Warehouse in Houston Italian
We are going to be starting
our special events.
The first event will be
National Volunteer Week with
entertaining each day starting
April 18,h Each Chapter in
Hockley County will be having
come kind of entertainment, a skit
or contest plus door prizes. So
we would like to invite you to
come and join us during that time.
We have a lot of different
volunteer opportunities for
anyone 55, newly retired or
someone who has just moved to
our community such as the Food
Box, Hospital Auxiliary,
Telephone 'Reassurance,
Visitation, families in
bereavement and many more. So
come and join our family of
volunteers.
We are having lots of fun
with Bingo on Mondays and
Wednesdays. We have started
playing from 11 a m. until 11:30
a m. and give away prizes. The
games are free and if you are 55
and older we would be glad for
you to come and join in on the
fun and fellowship.
Please join us by way of
radio each Tuesday morning on
KLVT-AM at 10:30 a m. This
way we try to keep you informed
on the activities at the Levelland
Center and outlying centers. Also
KLVT-AM & FM announces the
menus each morning at 7 a m.
You may also secure the senior
menu in our local Hockley county
Newspress.
It is our pleasure to furnish

The groom is a 1987
graduate of Northbrook High
School. He attended Wharton
Junior College before completing
instruction at the Police
Academy. He served with the
Galveston Police Department for
seven years before resigning to
attend Texas A&M University.
He is working towards a
bachelor’s degree in animal
science with a master’s in public
health and epidemiology. He is
employed by Brazos Valley
Community Action

Johnna Jeanette Frye and
James Stanley Bissett, Jr. were
untied in marriage on Saturday,
March 19, 2005 at “Under The
Oaks” in League City.
The ceremony was officiated
by David Murrah, long-time
friend of the bride's family and
former Minster of Music at
Second Baptist Church in
Levelland.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr and Mrs. Charles B. “Brad”
Frye of Humble, and formerly of
Lubbock. She is also the
granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Robert C. Vaughan of Levelland,
and Mrs. Betty L. Stillwell and
the late James W. Stillwell of
Vincennes, Indiana
The groom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. James S. Bissett of
Fulshear.
Given in marriage by 'her
father, the bride chose a strapless
white satin gown, the bodice
adorned in pearls and sequins.
The gown was supported by a
full-length long sleeve coat of
lace and pearls, which also
accented the chapel train of the
gown. She wore a tiara of pearls
to accompany the shoulder length
veil of satin and sequins.
Following tradition, something
new was the bride's dress and
pearl necklace given to her by the
groom. Something old and
borrowed were the wedding rings
of her grandmother, Eva
Vaughan, and great-grandmother,
the late Mrs. Odie Faye Barnes.
In honor of her father, the bride
carried a silk blue carnation as
Chad and Amanda McNeely
of Midland are proud to
announce the birth of their son.
Gage Michael McNeely.
He was bom March 16,2005
at 1:354 am. at Midland
Memorial Hospital. He weighed
8 lbs I oz and was 20 '/i inches
long.
His grandparents are Jon and
Debra Brown of Levelland, and
Mike and Cindy McNeely of
Greenwood.
His great-grandparents are
Lee and Donna Com of Lubbock,
Chester and Pat Crow of Ft.
Worth and Ray McDonald of
Austin.
