tion greeting:
Whereas, the city of Decatur through
its city of Attornoy, did on the 20 dav of
April A. D. 1899, file in the district
court of Wise County, in the State of
Texas, its petition in suit no 85 on the
the civil docket of said court, being suit
brought by the said the city of De. utur
, as plaintiff against unknown owne' as
oforesaid as defendants and the nature
of the plaintiff’s demand as stated in the
said petition being an action to recover
of the defendants as the owners of *h<
lands returned delinquent for the ta.s
du* thereon for the year 1897 a id where-
as the names of said owner arc unknow,
upon the a fidavit of F. J. Ford having
been made, setting forth that said owners
names are unknown to the affiant, as the
attorney for the city of Decatur and
after inquiry not ascertained
These are therefore, to cite all inter-
ested parties and to make parties def-
endant by notice in the name of the city
of Deatur and the County of Wise dir-
ected to all persons owing nr being in
any way interested in the lands deliquent
to the city of Decatnr for taxes, to be
puolished in a newspaper in said county,
one time a week tor three cbnsecutive
weeks, in the manner and style following :

To unknown owens lots 1 and 2 blk
82, south of Decatur add and to all person
owning or having or claiming any inter-
est in the following described land de-
linquent to the city of Decatur for taxes
to wit:
Lots no 1 and 2, Blk 82 south Decatur
add and the taxes penalty’ interest and
cost of suit up to the filing of same,
amount to $201, and you are hereby
notified that suit has been brought by
the city of Decatur for the collection of
said taxes, and you are commanded to
appear and defend such suit at the May
term of the district court of Wise county,
and state of Texas, being the next regualr
term thereof, to be held at the court
house thereof, at Decatur, on the 29th
day of May, 1899 and show cause why
judgement shall not be rendered con-
demning said land or lots, and order-
ing sale and foreclosure thereof for said
taxes and cost of suit-
