3M 9-62 K OFFICE LETTER FROM AMA, ERT, Jr. & HLK, Jr. DATE March 10, 1964 To JIHK - , HLK Attached please find an outline program for the formation of the Executives Club of H. Kempner Enterprises, and our recommendations for a quarterly program. This program has been arrived at after con- siderable consul~tion between Arthur, Tim and myself. It was felt desirable for two major reasons: (1) To familiarize Tim and me, as quickly as possible, with the varied aspects of the Kempner holdings and with the personnel involved. (2) To respond to a consistantly ex- pressed desire by the senior executives themselves to have more inter- action among the various enterprises. The plan of the program as outlined in the included pages is intended to meet these requirements. It should be stressed that under no circum- stances will these meetings be used to make decisions or to supplant the present lines of authority. We hope that such a program will result in both increased information and increased status for the heads of our various enterprises. Your comments will be greatly appreciated.
