Section 661.918(a), Government Code, is amended 11 to read as follows: 12 (a) This section applies to a peace officer under Article 13 2.12, Code of Criminal Procedure, who is commissioned as a law 14 enforcement officer or agent, including a ranger, by: 15 (1) the Public Safety Commission and the director of 16 the Department of Public Safety; 17 (2) the Parks and Wildlife Commission; 18 (3) the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission; [em] 19 (4) the attorney general; or 20 (5) the insurance fraud unit of the Texas Department 21 of Insurance. 22 SECTION 3. Section 701.104, Insurance Code, is amended by 23 adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: 24 (d) The commissioner shall ensure that a peace officer 25 commissioned under Subsection (a) is compensated according to 26 Schedule C of the position classification salary schedule 27 prescribed by the General Appropriations Act.
