Local author holds book
signing at BRAC’S
There will be a book sign-
ing at BRAC’S December 5,
2007 from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
Local author, Vina Lee, will be
signing books for her newest
release Get Out of Jail Free:
Keys to Unlocking Emotional
Prisons. The book is available
through Amazon, Barnes and
Noble, and others.
An excerpt from the book
reads, "My arms hung limp at
my sides as my shoulder
slumped forward in despair,
dejection, aloneness and now,
isolation. That didn't bother
me so much, as 1 had learned
to survive this way......I was
guilty". Get Out of Jail Free is
a look at childhood guilt, sup-
pressed in the mind and heart
carrying over into adult life.
Everyday people experience
guilt even if they did nothing
wrong. Individuals might
think they did something
wrong and then they continue
to live with it over the years.
"All we have to do is know we
are free from the chains and
shackles that bind us in our
hearts and imprison our
minds, shake off the dust of
our past, walk out of the prison
of self and become a blessing
of honor." stated Grady and
Betty Wills, pastors at
Academy of Life Coaches.
"Then, pass on the Get Out of
Jail Free card for healing to
fellow inmates who have also
found themselves in the pris-
ons of their own choosing.
This is what Vina Lee has
done."
Vina is the founder of
Academy of Life Coaches.
She assists people in every
area of life coaching through
situations with successful life
experiences Biblically and
professionally. She is a mem-
ber of the Rusk County Poetry
Society and State and National
poetry societies. Vina received
first place awards at the Poetry
Society of Texas Annual
Awards on November 10,
2007 in Dallas for her poem,
Volumes, on heroism in the
Hugh C. Bailey category and
A Door Hinge Moment on
humor in parenting for the
Kay Ellison memorial Award.
She has authored other books,
including children's book
Little Knowso's Christmas
Story that was published in
