The Panola Watchman
Texas Comptroller announces
Texas unclaimed property
Texas Comptroller Carole
Keeton Strayhorn has pub-
lished the annual list of indi-
viduals with abandoned prop-
erty across the state. This
year’s list contains the names
of over 208,000 individuals
for whom the state is holding
forgotten funds.
If your name is listed,' you
may call Strayhorn’s office
toll free at 1-800-654-3463 or
in Austin at 512-463-3120 to
inquire about your unclaimed
property. The phone lines are
very busy during the first few
weeks following the release of
the list. You may also use the
online database at www.win-
dow.state.tx.us/up to search
for your name and begin the
claims process electronically.
There is no deadline to file a
claim; the money will be there
until it is claimed.
