arrived and an acrobatic
catch in double coverage for
a 12-0 advantage. A run for
points failed.
A bad snap in a punt situ-
ation cost Palestine 18 yards
and possession of the ball at
its eight yard line and after a
fumble and two penalties the
ball was backed up to the 14
when Boone found Allen
open again for a Second
scoring aerial. Again, the try
for points failed, but there
would be no damage.
Two minutes later, Boone
ran six for Carthage's final
TD and Robinson muscled
his way for extra points and
a 26-0 lead.
Raymond Burns, Jacob
Parkerson, Campbell, Dale
Jones, Justin Strain,
Robinson, Neketrian
Pipkins, Tate, Chris
Dickerson, Clint Hammons
and Jacorbian Brown had
things under control before
and after the scoring out-
break.
Burns had eight tackles,
four unassisted, Parkerson
had five and Hammons four.
Campbell intercepted a
pass, Jones caused a fumble,
Robinson recovered on, Tate
recovered two, Hammons
collected one and Brown had
a sack. All had other defen-
sive numbers.
Coaches said to write
them all up, it was a team
victory. • \

score.
On his superb 39-yard
jaunt to the end zone with
0:56 to plat that closed the
deficit to 20-18, Jones got car-
ried away and taunted the
Dogs by high-stepping the
final six or seven steps alone.
He was accompanied by
flags and whistles, too, indi-
cating a 15-yard penalty
would be offered Carthage to
right the wrong.
A pass for extra points was
intercepted and all Carthage
had to do was recover an
onsides kickoff and run the
clock out by . taking a knee
twice. ,
Travis Williams. J.J.
Mosley, Russell Andrews,
Dustin Russell. Jerod Odom.
Rod Brooks and Trevor
Murphy had outstanding
defensive efforts for Carthage.

unassisted. Williams and
Adrews had seven tackles
total, Mosley, Odom and
Russell added five each and
Deshun Williams collected
three bfefore he went down.
Carthage picked up another
non-district outing Thursday
to replace Crockett, which
forfeits. Note new site and
