ans Opportunity to Work Act autho-

In a letter this week to the Fort
Hood community, III Corps and Fort
Hood Commanding General Lt. Gen.
Sean MacFarland encouraged the
entire community to take part in a
communitywide behavioral health sur-
vey, which began Monday and contin-
ues until Dec. 26.
The survey, part of the U.S. Army
Public Health Command’s Behavioral
Health Surveillance Plan in the wake

Enjoy the Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area as it is
transformed into a winter wonderland. Drive through more
than 5.5 miles of holiday-inspired scenes.
Patrons can view the displays nightly from 5:30-11 p.m. now
through Jan. 4.
The gate fee is $7 for a car, minivan or pickup; $18 for a
limo, RV or 15-passenger van; $30 for a 24-passenger van and
$50 for a 47-passenger van or larger bus.
Hood Howdy
Fort Hood will host the Hood
Howdy, a Texas-style welcome and
Mini Job Fair, from 9 a.m.-l p.m. Feb.
12 at Club Hood. Hood Howdy is
a Family-friendly event, full of infor-
mation to become familiar with Fort
Hood and the surrounding area.
The event features booths hosted
by chambers of commerce from area
cities and area businesses and agencies,
door prizes and refreshments and more.
Other activities will be hosted through-
out the event at Club Hood.

and free for active-duty Soldiers with

Outdoor Recreation Permits
All patrons engaging in authorized
outdoor recreational activities in Fort
Hood training areas must obtain a Fort
Hood permit prior to patronage.
Authorized outdoor recreational
activities include, but are not limited
to: hunting, fishing, hiking, biking,
bird watching, horseback riding and

Nature in Lights
The display is open to the public and will be open during the
Thanksgiving holiday.
Enjoy the lights by horseback Jan. 5.
Stop by Santa’s Village from 5:30-11 p.m. today-Wednes-
day, nightly.
Located in Live Oak Pavilion, part way through the park,
Santa’s Village features a cowboy cafe, homemade cookies, hot
chocolate, seasonal crafts and wares and photos with Santa.
New Year’s Eve Bowling Party
Phantom Warrior Lanes will host its
New Year’s Eve Bowling Party Dec. 31
from 10 p.m.-l:30 a.m. Jan 1. Phan-
tom Warrior Lanes is located just inside
the Clear Creek Gate.
The cost is $75 per lane, which
includes unlimited bowling, shoe rent-
als, chicken wings and pizza for up to
five bowlers per lane.
The party is open to all DoD iden-
tification card holders and their guests.

the marina cove for a special trail of lights not seen by vehicular
traffic.
The cost is $5 per adult or $3 per child ages 11 and under (lap
children, determined by the vendor, ride free).

the stars and holiday cartoons on select nights.

The Apache Arts and Crafts Center

PTSD/trauma support groups
Those who have or are experi-
encing post-traumatic stress disor-
der, and their caregivers, are invited
by the Carl R. Darnall Army Medi-
cal Center Department of Ministry
and Pastoral Care to join in on the
new PTSD Support Group. Meetings
are 10-11 a.m. every Tuesday in the
CRDAMC chapel.
