In a three-way meet at Bowie
Friday afternoon the NHS track
team ranked third, with Bowie
first and Decatur second, Ac-
cording to Coach Grover Pearson,
the boys made a good showing,
considering the fact that three of
them had injuries which meant
limited participation, and one,
Dicky Walker, was not able to
run.
In the 120 yard high hurdles
Mike Newby of Nocona was first,
and Delbert Tucker second. New-
by won first in the broad jump,
and second in the 100 yard dash,
with Bud Lee of Nocona fourth

colors. In Social Science we are
doing more mapwork.
Seventh and Eighth Grades
The seventh and eighth grades
enjoyed the shows, "The Art of
Keramos". “New Ways in Farm-
ing" that Mr. Harndon showed us
Friday.
At a recent meeting of the sev-
enth grade class plans were made
for the annual seventh - eighth
grade banquet.
The seventh and eighth grades
have planned a picnic and Easter
egg Hlint for Friday afternoon.
Sports
Rained out last Friday, Montague
and Lone Star were to play a
softball game at Lone Star Wed-
nesday. The boys and girls have
been practicing on softball
