BADGERS TO PLAY BCR-
NET ON DECEMBER 25
•According to Coach D. S. Moore, a
football game between the Lampasas
Badgers and the Burnet Bulldogs has
been scheduled on Christmas Day at
2.30. The returns from, the game will
be used in the Community Chest to
help the underpriviliged children of
the town. A large- crowd is expected
for this game which will be the last
one jilayed by a number of the favor-
ites -on the Badger team.
There will be a special Christmas
Program at School Creak Baptist
Church next Sunday night. Every
body invited.
San Saba, Dec. 21..—Albert Gray*,
00 year old rancher, was found dead
near his home at Cheorkec at about
noon today. Death was from natural
causes, according to the verdict of H.
Clyde Smith, justice of the peace.

FOUND DEAD MONDAY
The Central Texas Trading Co., of
Lampasas is opening a wool and mo-
hair house at Ozona and will also
handle ranch supplies in connection
with the warehouse. Mr. and Mrs.
Melvin Brown will move on Jan. 1 to
Ozona and Mr. Brown will be in
charge of the warehouse Mr. Brown
has had many years of experience in
this line cf business and will no doubt
make a success of the business open-
ed there.
Homer V. Seale. 50. died
night about !> o'clock at his
Lampasas after a short illness.
The deceased was born on Aug. 2,
1880, in Brazos County, Texas. He
was married 30 yfrars ago to Miss
Allie Roach und to this uftion was
born one child. Mrs. Willard Boyd,
who now lives in Ijtmpasas. Besides
hts widow and his daughter he is
survived by his parent*, Mr. and
Mrs. T J. Seale artd the following
brothers and sisters: Joe F. Scale of
Lampasas, J. W. Scale of Cebola, N.
M. ,"J. J. Saale of Marble Falls, Or-
ville Scale of Enid, Okla., B. W. Seale
of McCamey, J. B. Seale of Aber-
nathy, Mrs. W. A. Noffshar of House,
N. M„ Mrs. U. G. La Rue of Daniu-
ta, Calif.
Funeral services will be held some-
time Wednesday or Thursday morn-

- E. B. Farquhar, 55, died about 4:00
o’clock Tuesday morning at the local
hospital. He has been in bad health
for the past two years and has been
in the hospital seriously ill for the
past three weeks.
The deceased was born in the Sun-
ny Lane community on Feb. 19, 1881,
and has lived there practically all his rfav njRht when he and a companion
life. He has been a farmer and
rancher in that community for the
past 30 years. He was well known
in both Lampasas and Burnet coun-
ties and leaves many friends to
mourn' his passing.
He is survived by the following
brothers an<Tlusters: Mrs. H. E. Rob-
inson of SnyAer, Mrs..John Westbrook
I of Melvin, Mrs. Y. J. Foulds of Bur-
net, Mrs. Zell Farquhar of Lampasas,
Mrs. Melvin Berry of Lampasas, and
i Jack Farquhar of Lake Victor.
Funeral services will be conducted
at the Cauble cemetery at 11 o’clock
' Wednesday morning. Rev. Olin W.
