a breeding flock.
2. Feed a scratch ration of corn
and milo, and in addition to tris

mashes are good or if you wish to
mix a mash at home a good one is:
100 lbs. bran, 100 lbs. shorts, 100
Ib.s meat scraps, 150 lbs corn, 25 lbs.
alfalfa. 2 lbs. of salt. If you have
skim milk, almst as good results can
be obtained by feeding it instead of
mash. The hens should eat as much
mash as grain. A good way to get
the flock in production is to feed
them a wet mash at noon. Be sure
that clean water is before flock at
all times.

during the winter. Leave south side
of house open and close up back and
ends. Provide at least two and a
half square feet of space per hen.
4. Look out for lice as they lower '
production. Lice can be controlled
by dusting with sodium flouride. In
