COUNTY OF TRAVIS.# WHEREAS,in Cause No.3u,420,entitled Thomas J.Darlington et al
Susie Darlington et al,in the District Court of Travis County,Texas,for the Twenty-sixth
Judicial District,by an order of said Court duly entered therein on December 20,1917,J.A.
Nelson,of Williamson County,Texas,was appointed Receiver of the property involved in said
suit and was ordered and authorized to sell the same,and was empowered and directed to
ceive private bids for the sale of said property,and to report the same to said Court for
confirmation or rejection,and for further orders in relation thereto;and WHEREAS,the said
J.A.Nelson duly qualified as such Receiver,and thereafter received a bid from Ed.M.Downing
to purchase the Five Hundred and Twenty!520)acre tract involved in said suit and belonging
to the Estate of J.W.Darlington,deceased,said Five Hundred and Twenty!52u)acre tract being
a part of the Twelve Hundred and Eighty(1280)acre bounty granted to Morgan C.Hamilton,as
assignee of J.C.Duval,and situated on the south bank of Brushy creek,in Williamson County,
Texas,and known as survey No.14,and described by metes and bounds in a prior judgment of
said Court, the bid of the said Ed. M.Downing being to purchasethe said land at One Hundred
Doiiars($100.00) per acre cash for the acreage ascertained by a survey of the same to be
made,and the said land to be conveyed to him in three separate tracts,to be designated by
himjand WHEREAS,the said J.A.Neison,Receiver,by his written report,signed and sworn to by
him and filed in said cause on the 3rd.day of March,1919,reported to the COurt the said
bid or offer so received by him and the terms of samejand WHEREAS,the said report was heard
and considered by the Court on the 25th.day of March,1919,and the Court,after hearing the
said report,and no objection being made to the same,in all things approved the said report
and,by its order duly entered on the 25th.day of March,1919,in all things ratified confirm-
ed and approved the said report and the proposed sale of the said tract of land,and ordered
and authorized the said J.A.Nelson,Receiver,to accept the bid and offer of the said Ed.M.

Downing and to execute and deliver to the said Ed. M.Downing a proper deed of conveyance,
conveying to him the said Five Hundred and Twenty(529)acres of land,in accordance with the
terms of said bid,upon the payment by the said Ed. M.Downing of the purchase price of One
Hundred Dollars ($100.00)per acre;and WHEREAS, a survey of thesaid land has been made into
three separate tracts,as designated by the said Ed. M.Downing,one of said tracts containing
One Hundred and Twenty!120)acres,for which the said Ed.M.Downing has paid the sum of Twelve
Thousand Dollars ($12,000.00);another of said tracts containing Two Hundred(200)tc res,for
which the said Ed. M.Downing has paid the sum of Twenty Thousand Mlars ($20,0o0.00);and
the third of said tracts containing Two Hundred and Twenty-five and nine-tenths(225.9)a-
cres,for which said Ed. M.Downing has paid the sum of Twenty Two Thousand Five Hundred and
Ninety Dollars ($22,590.00),making the total acreage of said three tracts Five Hundred and
