Local People Attend
Fashion Show
In Dallas
Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Jenkins were
among the 5,000 buyers who at-
tended the American Fashion As-
sociation’s Fall Market in Dallas,
May 24-29.
Five hundred manufacturers’
representatives, who comprise the
American Fashion Association, dis-
played over 1,100 lines of women’s
and children’s apparel at the Adol-
phus, Baker and Blue Bonnet
Hotels, as well as the new Dallas-
Merchandise Mart, a building of
permanent wholesale showrooms
opened last August.
Headline events of the Fall Mar-
ket were the Breakfast Clinic
Style Shows held May 26 and 27 in
the Crystal Ballroom of the Baker
Hotel. “From The Earth Rises
Autumn Beauty” was the theme
of the shows which included seven
promotions for a “fall fashion har-
vest.” The fashions shown were
from the fall lines shown in the
market. Mrs. Evelyn Lambert was
director and commentator for the
clinics.
The next market week will be
held in Dallas August 12-24 and
will feature Midwinter and Holi-
day fashions.
