Married Saturday
Mr. and Mrs. Alvis M. Malish
will live at 515 W. Lamar in
Temple. The bride is the former
Miss Frances McWhirter, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. T. D. Mc-
Whirter of Wolfe City and the
groom is the son of Edward Ma-
lish and the late Mrs. Malish of
Granger, Texas.
Dr. W. Harrison Baker of Dal-
las and Rev. Pat Etheredge of
Wolfe City performed the double
ring ceremony at 3:00 p.m. Sat-
urday, November 7, 1959 in the
First Methodist Church in Wolfe
City. Nuptial music was furnished
by Mrs. M. Wayne McWhirter,
and H. D. Stidham, soloist.
Mr. McWhirter gave his daugh-
ter in marriage. She wore a
heavenly blue pure silk street
length dress with oversized stand-
up collar and soft draped front,
and shades of blue feather hat.
Her flowers were Phalaenopis or-
chids with a removable corsage,
showered with French Carnations
and love knots.
Mrs. Barrett W. Thomas was
her sister’s matron of honor and
best man was William Malish,
brother cf the groom.
Following the wedding a re-
ception was held in Friendship
Center.
The bride is a graduate of Leon-
ard High School and East Texas
State College of Commarce. The
sroom is a graduate of Granger
High School and Southwestern
University at Georgetown. The
couple are employed by Texas
Power and Light Company at
Temple.

fram recent surgery.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lasater
who live near Idalou are spending
a few days with relatives here.
They came to attend funeral ser-
vices of Mrs. Nannie Turner of
Bailey and Frank Lasater of
Bonham.
The Jack Creed family have
returned from East Texas where
they attended the funeral of a
relative.
Edd Norman has gone to West
Texas to help gather cotton.
M^s. Genia Hale is improving
after a recent illness.
Ollie Barr, who lives in Cali-
fornie is visiting his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Tom Barr.
Mr. and Mrs. Buster Fannin
and son, Dick and family of Roan-
oak visited relatives here Sunday.
Vernon Newton of Ector was
in Bailey this week.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold London of
Sherman spent the week end with
their parents, Mr. and MCrs. Lytton
London.

tian Service met at the Methoist
Church at 2:30 p.m. Monday.
The musical prelude was by
Mrs. O. E. Giles at the piano.
Mrs. Fred Bramlett was leader
for the lesson “Social Creed and
Moving Population. Others taking
part on the program were Mrs.
Prudence Kelsey and Mrs. Bill
Kent.
The scripture from “Exodus 20-
1-11” was read by Mrs. F. A. Bout-
well, who gave the meditation.
Mrs. W. L. Clotfelter offered
prayer. The group sang the
hymn, “O God, Our Help in Ages
Past.”
Mrs. Fred Bramlett led the
group discussion on “The Ten
Commandments As a Social
Creed.”
A short business meeting was
conducted by president, Mrs. M.
J. Curtis.
The benediction was by Mrs.
O. E. Giles.
