while the leading man. Guy Manners,
jealous of Alan, secures all his money
at cards. Finally, in desperation, Alan
stdals the money placed in his father’s
safe by his brother, David, who has
ju$t returned from a distant post with
the money to pay khe troops, and later
loses it all to Manners. David has been
attempting to save Alan from the in-
fluence of iaiura and a fondness has
developed between the two. When Da-
vid fiears Manners tell Laura that he

just in time to prevent his father from

Muriel and Alan are married and David
