announce the engagement of their daughter, Catherine Eliza-
beth, to Mr. Steven Louis Buettner, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. L.
Buettner of Alvin. Miss Johnson is a 1967 graduate of Hunts-
ville Ala.) High School where she was a member of the Na-
tional Honor Society, mu Alpha Tlirta math honorary, Writer’s
Guild, and Delta Tri Sign.a. She was presented at the 1968
Symphony Ball tn Huntsville, at which she was escorted by
Mr. Buettner. At Auburn University, she is a junior music
education major, a member of Alpha I tmbda Delta and
G^mma Beta Phi honoraries and Dean’s List, and a singer
in the Auburn Concert Choir. Buettner, a 1967 graduate of
Alvin High School wher» he participated in varsity track anti
cross country, is attending Auburn on an Army scholarship
when- he is a unior English major. He has worked closely
with Scouting and is an Eagle Scout. The wedding will lie an
event of Dec. 18 at First Baptist Church in Huntsville, Ala.
