April 4 is the date by which
entrants in the AAUW Com-
munity Exhibition should sub-
mit entry forms and fees for a
show to be held on the Alvin
High School lawn on April 18.
The American Association
of University Women is arran-
ging an exhibit of arts.crafts,
collections, and hobbies of Al-
vinites to point up the talent
and interests within this com-
munity. A representative dis-
play is expected.
Among the collections al-
ready entered are stamps and
coins, andafascinatinggroup-
mg of antique wood planes.
Offered in time for Mother’s
Day and graduation gift-giving
will be china-painted items,
decoupage plaques, creative
stitcheries, oil and acrylic
miniatures, and full-size oils.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Le Voy of Manvel announce the en-
gagement of their daughter, Linda Louise to Travis Harold
Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Jackson of Alvin. Linda
