Harris Co. Cancer Society
Needs Volunteer Drivers
Volunteers are urgently
needed by the Harris County
Unit of the American Cancer
Society to assist in the So-
ciety's patient transportation
program.
These new volunteers are
wives, and retired people, all
of whom share a common in-
terest in helping those less
fortunate and are willing to
donate several hours of their
time a month.
Potential volunteers are
asked tc call the American
Cancer Society at 528-287'7
to volunteer their help and
find out more about the So-
ciety's transportation service
program.

ta. n programs, November

pose of these programs are
to inform potential volunteers
about the disease of cancer,
the treatment of cancer, what

of the Pearland Reserve
Police Department, have log-
ged a total of 2 . 073 work-
ing hours for the month of

The reserves have totaled
129 hours working traffic at
the bank. 56 hours for school
dances, 160 hours for foot-
ball games. 16 hours at the
Halloween carnival, and 15
hours at the high school bon-

department, and have totaled
396 hours. The work car and
ba k up patrol car total hours
is 2,073.
