Parent Aide
Volunteers
Needed
The Parent Aide Program works
with parents in Fort Bend, Austin,
Colorado and Waller Counties who
have been referred by Children’s
Protective Services and United
Way. Volunteers, who receive train-
ing and supervision, actually deliver
the program. Each volunteer is
matched with one family with whom
(s )he visits weekly for approximate-
ly one year. The volunteer parent
aide supports and encourages the
parent, models good parenting and
promotes the parent’s growth as a
parent and as a person. It is a
rewarding, caring, and interesting
program which attributes its suc-
cess to its wonderful and generous
volunteers.
Training for new volunteers will
be held in February. If you are
interested, the Parent Aide Pro-
gram would love to hear from you.
Call now to inquire about becoming
a parent aide. Call (713)749-7192 or
(713) 729-1211. Fifteen new volun-
teers are needed for the February
