on Sunday, October 9, to meet and
visit with Mario and Kathi Studer
and children, Christian, 12, and
Henri, 10, from Switzerland.
Kathi’s mother was a Spiess.
While here they traveled around
the Hill Country and to the Coast;
they also attended the Austin County
Fair and Rodeo.
On weekends they were the guests
of Johnnie and Gail Spiess. Every-
body enjoyed visiting with them.

mony Hall in Shelby. The Earlywine
Band of Brenham and friends of the
bride and groom played at the

The bride’s three-tiered cake with
strawberry filling was supported by
a flowing fountain and was sur-
rounded by five heart-shaped cakes.
Silk roses and fresh fem adorned the
cake which was topped with a glass
dove figurine, a gift from the bride’s
father. The groom’s double-heart
chocolate cake featured the couple’s
names on the hearts. They were
(federated with fresh fem and silk
flowers.
Members of the houseparty and
others assisting with the wedding
were Joyce Reeee, Sonda Tiemann,
Roxanne Schmidt, Lyn Wimberly,
Kit Parker, Angel Murski, Patsy
Rabb, Barbara Bartels, Alice Bru-
ne, and Rhonda Smith.
The bride is a 1965 graduate of
BellvilleHigh School and is employ-
ed at Brenham State School.
The groom is a 1965 graduate of
Bellville High School and is employ-
ed at Ripple Lumber Yard.
The couple now resides in Bren-
ham.

The bride is the daughter of Duane
and Carol Meredith of Katy, Texas
and the granddaughter of Bin.
Elmer Sammon of Marlin, Texas
and Mr. and Mn. Loren Bailey of
imported lace appliques and an
illusion back. Full-length tapered
sleeves were sprinkled with import-
ed lace cut-outs. A full skirt fell from
the basque waist to a cathedral
length train and featured imported
lace appliques which were hand
sequined and beaded by the bride’s
parents. A wide sheer lace encircled
the hem completing a romantique
vision. The bride’s headpiece was a .
wide band of pearls and flowers
attached to a tiered veil. Her
bouquet was a cascade of white and
red roses, stephanotis, greenery and
a crystal rosary. On this special day,
the bride was dressed by Ms.
Rhonda Smith of “Your Hearts
Desire.’’

Funeral Services for Alfred Jo-
seph Krenek, 77, of Taylor, were
held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 6,
1988 at St. Mary’s Church in Taylor
with the Rev. Howard Goertz officia-
ting.
Burial was in the church ceme-
tery.
Mr. Krenek died Thursday even-
ing, November 3, in Johns Commu-
nity Hospital.
A retired carpenter and veteran of
W.W. II, he was a member of St
Mary’s Catholic Church, the Sons of
Hermann and the American Legion.
Survivors include three sisters,
Mrs. Ida Becker of Industry, Mrs.
Alvina Warren of Rosenberg and
Mrs. Angela Farris of Houston;
brother, Wilfred Krenek of Rosen-
berg; and a number of nieces and
the bride wore a gown of imported
white satin featuring a Queen Anne
neckline. The fitted bodice was

Cassie carried a white lace basket
filled with white and red flowers,
ribbon, greenery and baby’s breath.
Best man was Dave Murski;
groomsmen were Larry Meredith,
brother of the bride, Brad Jozwiak,
brother of the groom, and Joshua
Sammon, cousin of the bride. Jess
Sammon, cousin of the bride, served
as ringbearer.
Each wore a grey tuxedo with
raspberry bow tie and cummerbund.
The groom wore a white tuxedo with
tails.

Mrs. Keilers passed away sudden-
ly in Houston on Thursday, Novem-
ber 10, 1988.
She was bom February 3,1934 at
Rutersville, the daughter of Joseph
and Sophie (Chovanec) Kaspar, but
later moved with her family to
Walhalla Community.
She is survived by her husband,
Alois Kellers of Fayetteville; five
sons and daughters-in-law, Arils and
Paulette Keilers of Fayetteville,
Anthony and Nina Kellers of Olden-
burg. Andrew and Theresa Keilers of
Fayetteville, Armin and Regina
Keilers of Oldenburg, Arlin and Pam
Keilers of La Grange; two daugh-
ters, Anne Kellers of Fayetteville
and Audrey and her husband, Paul
Zbranek n of Houston; her mother,
Sophie Kaspar of Fayetteville; two
brothers, John Kaspar of La Grange
and Leonard Kaspar of Fayettevil-
le; five sisters Elizabeth Muske of
Oldenburg, Albina Rabel of Schu-
lenburg, Mary Machinsky of New
Ulm, Josephine Noska of Fayette-
ville and Annie Mae Sodolak of
Fayetteville; mother-in-law, Lillie
Keilers of Fayetteville; eight grand-
children; 29 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her
father, Joseph Kaspar who died in
1962, and by her father-in-law, Otto
Keilers who died in 1984.
Pallbearers were Jeffrey Kaspar,
Richard Kaspar, David Kaspar,
Gregory Kaspar, Robert Machinsky
and Kenneth Machinsky.

Koenig-Peel Funeral Home of La
Grange were in charge of funeral
service arrangements.
