Garden Club Has
Christmas Party
The Crape Myrtle Garden Club
held their annual Christmas party
at the City Club House Monday
night, Dec. 13, with Mrs. J. A.
Fooshee. Mrs. N. M. Flvnt, Mrs. B.
r. Hutchens and Mrs. Corinne Bell
as hostesses for the occasicn.
Throu.lwut the club room artistic
Christmas motifs were featured in
the elaborate decorations. Two
Christmas trees laden with gifts
and trimmed with colored lights
formed a cheerful and appropriate
setting for a gay party. Lee Martin
distributed the gifts from under the
tree. Mrs. Lee Martin was in charge
of a number of games, which were
enjoyed by all present.
A reading. “The Littlcst Angel."
| was given by Miss Willard Hutchens.

and Mrs. Roy Mitchell of Ryan.
Okla., and the groom is the son of
J. H. Crow of Terral. Okla.
After a short wedding trip the
couple will make their home in Ter-
ral, Okla.

Husbands
Members of the Roundup Club en-
tertained their husbands with a
Chrstmas party at the . Club
Hi s< Tnursday night. Dec. 16.
Tin club room was ill ’.minuted
with the glow of red and green
candles. Red cornices with cedar
boughs and icicles decorated the
windows. A beautiful outline of a
Christmas tree of red satin ribbon
adorned <he firepl tee. The tree was
decorated with artistic and colorful
arrangements of toilaee, and color-
ful Christmas balls. On the mantle
piece was a sled and reindeers, the
sled was filbd with Christmas pack-
ages.
The table was laid with a white
linen i.. mask cloth decorated with
red hoUv berries around the edge.
Centering the table was a red sleigh
with gay old Santa Claus. Christmas
carols were sung by the group as
Kenneth Guinn and Henry Fenoglio
distributed the gifts from the
tree.
Each guest bought a toy that was
sent to the City Hall and distributed
at the Community Christmas Tree
• at the Methodist Church Saturday
afternoon.
Charade was played throughout
the evening. Refreshments were
seived to Mr. and Mrs. Austin Ball.

presented a Christmas program Sun-
day night.
On Dee. 31 the Valley View Bap-
tist. Church will observe a Watch
Night program. The program will
start at 7:00 p. m. and last until
shortly after 12: midnight. There
will be a picture shown by Hoyt
Hutson of Henrietta. The title ot
the picture is “The Man Who For-
got God." Visiting speakers will in-
clude Rev.* J. P. Stevenson of
Gainesville. Rev. Alton Vaughan of
Spanish Fort and Rev. Lewis Hill of
Nocona. Other features will include
a quartet from the Baptist Church
of Nocona, duets and other talents
from the home church. The public
is cordially invited to attend.
