DID YOU
KNOW?
The Cost Of
Missing Heaven
angels. You will miss the majes-
tic splendor of God’s perfect par-
adise, the radiance of God’s glory,
holiness, the warmth of His eter-
nal love, and the bliss of His
great peace!
Furthermore, if you miss hea-
ven, you will miss getting to be
with all of the redeemed of all
ages. You will not only have miss-
ed a great fellowship on earth
with God’s people, but you will

miss the crown of victory! You
will miss the ending of all strug-
gles! You will miss the rest at
the end of the way! You will miss
getting to heai’ the angels sing!
My friends, you can’t afford
to be lost because of the great
cost you will have to pay. For
a man to live and die unsaved is
for him to miss the greatest ex-
perience in life, and the grandest
expectation in death! What a
price to pay in missing the grand
experience of hearing Him say,
“Well done!”
Have you ever tried to fancy
just what it will really be like in
hell? Do you realize that the
principle of companionship and
compassion will be completely
unknown? Has it ever dawned up-
on you that hell will be deprived
of friends and friendliness? Have
you come to understand that
there will be no shock treatments
to make you forget, no sedatives
to ease pain, no relief medicines,
io rest cures, no promise of a
letter tomorrow? Are you aware
of the haunting memories that
will possess those who go there?
Can you imagine the indescrib-
able pain and agony, and in the
midst of it all had you thought
of the shrieks of agony heard
from others, and the weeping and
gnashing of teeth that woll go
on forever?
Have you ever thought of the
kind of people with whom you
would be associated in hell? I
suggest that you turn to Romans

church because of some hypo-
crites that might be there, not
realizing that they will have to

are not what they pretend to

It does cost something to be

in the world to come! You will more not to be. Not only should
you consider the cost of following
Christ, but you must also con-
sider the price you will have to
pay in not following Him. You
will either pay the price now,
or you will pay the penalty lat-

Until next week may the Lord

and go to church Sunday.

We have been discussing the
cost of man’s having to spend
eternity in hell, but now I want
you to think with me of the great
cost of what a man will miss if
he misses heaven! If there were
no hell, what a tremendous price
he would still have to pay if he
missed all that heaven has to
offer him! What a price it would
be to miss the thrill of heaven’s
welcome! What a price it would
be to miss the experience of be-
ing a part of the new Jerusalem,
that great city of God! It is a
city across which no shadow will 19-21;
ever come, and a city against as well as many other passages,
which no army will ever march, that you might get a glimpse of
a city wherein no frowns will ever the caliber of people who will
be seen, and in which no fears populate hell. There one will be
will ever arise. It is a city where surrounded by the vilest of men,
no sorrows will ever be known,' and in company with the most'
and in which there will be no furious demons!
