Club Opens New
I Year October 4th
The Thursday Literary
holds its first meeting of the new
club year Thursday. October 4th at
: 3:30 p. m„ in the home of Mrs. Earl
Fitts, with the Program Committee
[ in charge.
The program is “Guest Travel-
ogue”, and the guest speaker will
; be the Reverend Weems Dykes, his
subject: "Europe and the Near
’ East.”
The Thursday Literary Club is
the oldest federated club in Noco-
na. It was organized in 1924 and
federated in 1925. It is a member
' of the First District Federation
I also the State Federation.
The club meets the first and
third Thursday of each month, and
the course of study for the coming
' year is Arm-Chair Travels, also
. including programs on Music Ap-
( preciation day, Art Exhibit, Bible
Lesson. Federation day and Social
' Program.

The Chee Wee Camp Fire Girls
held a call meeting Tuesday after-

Scouting is as much for you as for
the boy. At each Pack meeting
night, which is held once a month,
each boy is to be accompanied by
one or both of his parents. That
is the Cub rule. You will get a
kick out of it and it will be a big-
ger and better Pack. Help that boy
and as you do so you will have
as much fun as he does.

The Bonita Home Demonstration

for an all day meeting Sept. 20.
