A birthday dinner honoring
Ben Hall who was 75 year old
Wednesday, December 2nd, was
held in the American Legion Hall
in Leonard Sunday. Sixty-four
people registered.
Hosting the affair were Mr.
Hall’s five daughters and one son,
Mrs. H. N. Nesbitt, Mrs. Perna
Lockridge, Mrs. Ernest Horn1, all
of Caddo, Okla., Mrs. C. A.
Browning and Mrs. Sam Daugh-
rity of Trenton, and Tommy Hall
of McKinney.
The dinner table was laid in
white and centered with a large;
rectangular shaped birthday cake •
embossed in pink with “Happy
75” surrounded with 75 lighted ni&hts,
pink candles. I Pains
The invocation was given
Tommy Hall.
Following the dinner guests en-
joyed a musical program present-
ed by Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Hall,
James Browning, Gene Whit-
worth and David Hallmark.
Mr. Hall is known and called
Ben by his many friends. He is
a son of the late John and Eva i
Blanton Hall and grew up in the
Blanton Chapel Community. He
has lived in the Leonard area
most of his life, having moved
to town eighteen years ago when
he retired from farming. His
hobby since a young man of
eighteen has been the breaking
of young mules and horses. He
owns a team of mules now and
keeps them exercised by plowing
vegetable gardens and other small
plots.
