Don Russell and Jack Banks,
the same Wichita Falls pair
who carried off the crown in
1967, came back to win the
title in the Nocona Golf Club’s
sixth annual Low Ball partner-

Wilson of Bowie, who won last
year with a 129 score. Russell
and Banks managed to take the
title this year with a 68-66,
total 134 score for the 36
holes.
One stroke back was Mau-
rice Eades and Bob Rager of

round lead with a 65. However
they dropped to a 70 for their
second round to take a 135
score.
Winning third place in the
championship flight was Lowe

138 scores. In the play-off
Richards and Randall won the
prize, a dozen golf balls.
W. A. (Poly) Goodspeed of
Nocona and George Taylor of
Fort Worth qualified for the
championship flight and came
in with a 141 score, seven
strokes back of the fir st place
winners.
One of the defending cham-
pions, Jim Gary of Saint Jo,
playing with Glenn Underwood
of Bowie, also had a 141 score.
