Susan is a graduate of Gold-
Burg High School where she
played basketball.
The Wayland Flying Queens

Little Interest
Is Indicated In
Trustee Elections
There will apparently be little
interest in the school trustee
elections in this area though a
contest has developed in the
Gold-Burg district which will
bring out some extra votes.
In that district J. R. Ewing and
C. W. Mills, both incubents
whose terms expire, have filed
for re-election and another can-
didate, Harles Henson, has also
filed making three candidates
for the two places.
In the Nocona district David' be charged.
Waldrip and Billy Joe Billings
will be on the ballot without
opposition.
At Prairie Valley, David Sap-
pington and D. O. Mitchell Jr.
have both filed for re-election
and they are unopposed.
In Montague school district,
Billy Ray Carminati and G. E.
Richardson have also filed for
re-election and are without op-
position.
There is no competition for
places on the county board, ac-
cording to County Superinten-
dent Henry Johnson.
Charles M. Blackmon of
Bowie, county trustee-at-large;
Dr. B. H. Roberts, precinct 2,
which includes Bowie and its
area, and Lucian Vaughn of
Saint Jo from Precinct 4, which
Includes that city and a small
part of Nocona as well as parts
of Prairie Valley district, have
all filed for re-election and are
without opposition.
No absentee ballots have been
cast in any of the elections. Ab-
sentees may be cast up to Wed-
nesday of next week and the
election will be held Saturday
April 5th.
The planned distribution
some 2250 Bibles last Sunday
afternoon was delayed one week
due to the weather, according
to Rev. J.
pastor of
Church.
