There are certain things we
must know, and concerning which
we must not be ignorant, if in
the last day we would meet the
approval of God. With the word
of God to guide us, we shall!
Seek to gain a certain knowledge
of the topic for consideration.
That topic is: The promise ful-
filled in the Church:
Eph. 3: 6 is the first verse to
which attention shall be called,
“That the Gentiles should be
followheirs, and of the same body,
and partakers of his promise in
Christ by the gospel.” Here we
have mention made of the prom-
ise. It shall be my purpose to
show where the promise is found
and where it is fulfilled by him
who gave it.
The exact wording of Scripture
and heaven’s arrangement of
matters are worthy of serious
consideration. In Gen. 12:1-3
read “Now the Lord had said
unto Abram, Get thee out of thy
country, and from thy kindred,
unto a land that I will shew ” ’
thee: And I will make of thee a with a niece, Mrs. Allen Vaughn,
great nation, and I will bless thee, vaughn and family.
and curse him that curseth thee; |
and in thee shall all families of j
the earth be blessed.” In Gen. vidual matter and -a personal obli-

again and this time it reads: j each one must assume. One can-

Dear People:
Last Saturday morning the
good citizens of Bailey had a
terrible shock, as the mothers
of the P.T.A. went to the Bailey
school lunch room to prepare a
Thanksgiving supper for our com-
munity we found a notice of elec-
tion on the front door of our
beloved school, which put a
damper on our spirit of the day,
as you all know come Dec. 12th
the citizens of Bailey and Leon-
ard will vote to merge our
schools, I have nothing against
Leonard school in fact I attend-
ed Leonard High School myself,
but we were unprepared for this,
it has come as a shock to the
parents and children of the
school. Today as I look at the
names on the petition I see there
is no name on it, who has a
child in the Bailey Public School.
I am speaking for every mother,
father and child, we do not want
to lose our school, I have a son
who will graduate next Spring.
As a parent knows what that
means especially if you have seen
a child that is yours, march down
„^;the aisle to receive their diplo-
and from thy father’s house, and leave December 4th for Ettrick,' mas with the schoolmates they

I would accept it without reser- I

Again from the pen of Paul:
“Therefore I endure all things
for the elect’s sake, they may
also obtain the salvation which
is in Christ with eternal glory.”
Until next week may the Lord
bless you is our prayer. Be sure
and go to church Sunday.
