Mrs. Charles Manning has gone
to Denison to visit her sister
who will return with her to the
Manning home near Nocona.
Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Begley had
as week-end guests their daugh-
ter, Justine, of Denton, and her
roommate. Miss Jessie Parker, a
graduate of N.TJS.T.C.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gibson and
Lou Nelda have returned home
after visiting her sister, Mrs. Jim-
mie Stevenson, at Lockney. They
went through Carlsbad Cavern and
to El Paso and Juarez. Mexico.
On their way home, they visited
Mrs. Gibson’s sister, Mrs. Susie
Watts, at Abilene, and her brother,
Bill Furguson. and Mr. Gibson’s
sister, Mrs. Florence Miller and
brothers, John and Tom Gibson,
oi near Clyde.
Felix T. Fenoglio, Cox., was re-
cently discharged from the U. S.
Navy at Galveston. He is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. T. T. Fenoglio, of
Ringgold.Bill Teague arrived hime Tues-
day to spend a few days leave. He
is stationed in San Diego.
Mrs. George Mansur and children
of Hobbs, New Mexico, are visiting
her sister. Mrs. J. A. Hagland, and
other relatives here.
Mrs. James Kent of Fort Worth
is visiting Mrs. Caddy McCall.
Mrs. Nick Owen left today to
visit her mother in West Texas.

ing conditions for school
teachers.
HE IS FOR:
1. A Constructive Program for Returned Veterans.
2. Increased State Aid for schools.
3. A program to raise teachers' salaries and to improve
the general level of educaticjri.
4. Conservation of natural resources and soil conservation.
5. Establishment of a separate University for Negroes, as
provided in the constitution.
6. An adequate health program to stamp out disease and
the establishment of hospitals in areas where they are
needed.
7. Joining Texas in a fight for equalized ireight rates on a parity with the East in order that
this State may become highly industrialized.
8. Repeal of the Poll Tax as prerequisite for voting.
9. An 18 year old amendment to the Constitution in order that the youth may take part in
the various reforms that are in store for this state.
10. A program whereby the farmers of every county in the State will have better farm-to-
market roads.
11. An adequate program of old age assistance, for substantial increase as well as better ad-
ministration.
12. A government on PRINCIPLES, not "Pressures.”
13. An additional three cent tax on liquor that will bring in millions of dollars to help raise
the standard of living in Texas.
