their son, Johnny Carter who is
a sergeant in the Marine Corps
and recently returned from Viet
Nam. Mrs. Charles Carter, the
couple’s daughter-in-law, was also
with them. Her husband is pres-
ently serving in Viet Nam and
expected to return home by
Christmas.
Grandchildren present were
Randy, Susan and Michelle Gill,
Rodney and Sebrena Graham. A
friend of the Grahams, Jimmy
Ostresh was with them.
Everyone present said they had

November 28th the Leonard
Jaycettes met for a regular meet-
ing with president Barbara Burks
presiding. The Jaycette creed was
repeated.
Nominations were in order for
a reporter - historian and Lola
McNatt was elected.
There was a discussion on the
next meeting, Which will be Jan-
uary 3Oth, skipping the Decem-
ber meeting. At this meeting the
officers will be installed and re-
frsehments will be served.
Nancy Ligon made the motion
the Jaycettes have an entry in
the Christmas Parade. Joyce Pem-
berton seconded the motion and
it carried. A trailer float carry-
ing Jaycette officers bearing two
sign with the slogan, "Jaycettes
are Pitching in to Help Our Com-
munity” was discussed for the en-
try.
Donna Latimer is chairman of
the committee to make posters.
The committee will meet Friday
night, Dec. 2 at 7:30 at the regu-
lar meeting place to make further
plans.

were Joyice Pemberton, Betty Ev-
ans, Lynette Norvell, Donna Lati-
mer, Patsy Partridge, Sharon En-
sminger, Barbara Burks, Nancy
