The Kerr County show was
held on Thursday, Janu-
ary 18, 1990. The Hill
Country District Show
was held on Friday and
Saturday, January 19th
and 20th. Results from
the show were broadcast
live by KRVL. Interviews
were taken from exhibi-
tors and others who were
involved with the stock-
show. There was a really
big turnout and the nice

the Harper Ladyhorns fac-
ed D’Hanis in D’Hanis. A
large Harper crowd turn-
ed out to cheer the girls
their closfe^ame of
a 38-39 defeat for the
Horns. It was a close
game that was a battle
> to the very end, and was
played well by the Horns.
The team is now tied with
Utopia in district stand-
ings with both teams hav-
ing 4 wins and 1 loss.

STUDENT COUNCIL NEWS
Monday, January 29, the
Student Council held an
Anti-Drug assembly.
During the day, the coun-
cil wore black shirts
with different drug
names on them. The as-
sembly started out with
the Student Council do-
ing a skit to ’’Total
Eclipse of the Heart.”
Also, Roxanne Lumpkins
and Shawn Spaeth read a
poem called Mr. Heroin.
To put an end to it all,c
Greg White and Paul Oes-
treich spoke to the stu-
dents about different
types of drugs.

dent, Jennifer Maddox,
