The early American colon-
ists had their fill of govern-

186 years ago, set out their
complaints against that type
of government and revealed
their belief in a principle
which we now accept as basic
to our American way of life.
The indictments set out in
the document against King
George III of Great Britain
charged him with numerous
violations of that principle.
Among the complaints enum-

Attending Camp
Two members of the Da-

Electra are attending the se-

at Camp Letoli.
They are Paula Ann Hart,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hu-

Himstedt, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Fred Himstedt. Mrs.
Hart is the guardian of the
local camp fire group.
Th’e girls left June 22 to

wrecks which have occurred
in recent weeks. The first
few days in June five acci-
dents killed 24 persons and,
in each accident at least one
traffic violation was a causa-
tive factor. As is usually the
case, he said, the most com-
mon of these were excessive
speed, driving while drinking,
improper passing or driving
with defective equipment.
“Operation Motorcide" is a
program designed to focus
public attention on the added
dangers of travelling by mo-
tor vehicle during holiday
periods, Garrison explained.
During the 24-hour period of
the Fourth of July, all fatali-
ties resulting from traffic ac-
cidents over the state will be
tabulated. Motorcide bulletins
will be issued at 10 a. m., 3
p m. and 8:30 p. m., with a
summary bulletin to be issued
the morning of July 5.
Included on each program
presented by the Aquajets are
an exhibition of about 40
dives, comedy acts, water saf-
ety, ana first aid. All the
members of the group have
either the junior or senior Red
Cross Life Saver badges.
