tending the Texas State Tea-
chers Association meeting in
Austin.
Hudson is serving as Dis-
trict VII Committeeman, and
Cox is a delegate from Dis-
trict VII. Cox will represent
the district at the House of
Delegates meeting.

School Tiger “B" Squad open-
ed district play Thursday
night in Childress.
The teams emerged victor-
ious from the 5AA grid con-
tests. The junior high Cubs
were 12-0 victors over
Childress Junior High,
the ”B” team
Bobcats 40-6.
Tonight at 6:00 p. m. the
Cubs will meet Iowa Park in
their second conference tilt.

tivities of District 5-AA for
1963 at a recent meeting of|

about 10:45 p m. Thursday
when a grinding head-on crash
near the intersection of Hwy
25 and north Kendall streets
left four dead and one criti-
cally injured.
Fred Hamlin, 39 year old
carpenter, the only survivor
of the two car collision, was
taken to Wichita General Hos-
pital where his condition re-
mains serious. He was re-
ported to have sustained bro-
ken legs, ribs, and arms, and
deep lacerations.
