UD is the safest campus in the state, according to the Dallas Morning News in a Nov. 8 story about
campus crime, but we still have our problems. The following is a list of crimes committed on campus
over the last three months, August through October.

9-5 (Assault) RA in Gregory Hall reported 2 non-students forced their way into his room and verbally
threatened him.
9-19(Vandalism) Gregory RA reported someone put superglue in the lock of his door and the lock of
the other RA’s door.
9-25(Vandalism) Students reported vandalism to the door of their student apartment
9-26(Theft) Student reported the theft of her purse from the lounge of Gregory Hall while she was taking
a nap.
9-28(Theft) Student reported the theft of cash from her purse while she was working in the Carpenter
Computer Center.
9- 29(Assault) Student reported an assault as a result of the dorm wars during Charity week.
10- 6(Theft) Student reported the theft of $65.00 from her dorm room. A report was filed with the office
of student life.
10-9(Vandalism) Student reported vandalism to his car parked in lot F.
10-12(Burglary) Students reported a burglary in their dorm room. IPD was called and report filed.

10-13(Theft) UD staffer reported the theft of a ficus tree from the Haggar building. (NOTE - tree
recovered and returned; suspects turned over to student life.)
10-20(Theft) UD faculty member reported the theft of a computer from his office while he was out
attending a staff meeting. IPD called and report filed. (NOTE - suspect was arrested a week later
by IPD. Computer recovered.)
10-21(Theft) Student reported the theft of personal items from the chapel while he was in the restroom.
IPD was called and report filed.
10-24(Theft) Student reported the theft of personal items from her dorm room. A report was filed with
the student life office. #
