HETAG: The Houston Earlier Texas Art Group
HETAG HELPS HERITAGE
The HERITAGE SOCIETY (THS) has been one of HETAG's most faithful and supportive
partners in spreading the word about Earlier Houston Art through a series of exhibitions and
programs over recent years. But after 65 years of working to preserve the history of Houston,
the Heritage Society finds itself in perilous financial difficulty. Thanks to the generosity of
many of you HETAGers, we've been able to help a little. On Sunday afternoon, June 23, a
group of us got together for an afternoon of socializing, looking at Earlier Houston Art and
giving to Heritage Society. Along with many who donated even though they couldn't be there in
person, HETAG raised almost $4,000.00 for THS! We stand with our friend in time of need.I 7I-.

Jim Furr, President of the THS Board, joined us for the afternoon.
Even if you weren't able to be with us, it's not too late to join the HETAG HELPS HERITAGE
effort. You can send your checks to The Heritage Society, 1100 Bagby Street, Houston, 77002,
Attn: Alison Bell. Please make a note in the memo line that you're with HETAG.L~i~ILL
