ton on April 12, will
be nine members of
the Celeste 4-H Club.
They are Frank Tren-
tham, Howard Manuel,
Susan Denny, Tammy
Spoonemore, Sheryl
Waters, Shannon Arey,
Stacy Carroll, Lea
Camarco and Steve Su-
mrow.
The group will pre-
sent a skit entitled
’’Solution for Pollu-
tion.” First place
on this skit was won
on the county level
at the Share-the-Fun
contest.
Also representing
the local 4-Hers will
be Jimmy Spoonemore
and William Wright
who will be in Step-
henville to compete
in the district Li-
vestock Judging Con-
test. These two young
men, along with Jan-
ice Clark and Togy
Scroggins from other
4-H clubs in Hunt Co-
unty, have been jud-
ging under the dire-
ction of Mr. Homer
Hawthorne and Mr.
James Greer for the
past two months. Th-
ey attended a week-
end practice judging
contest at Texas A&M
last month.
Anyone interested
in having the 4-H
Club skit presented
to their organization
may do so by contact-
ing Jeri Camarco, Lo-
retta Manuel or Phy-
llis Spoonemore.

The Celeste Livest-
ock Committee met in
the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Hubert Shields
and began preparati-
ons for the 1975 Jr.
Livestock Show. The
show will be May 10
at the Celeste Saddle
Club Arena. The pub-
lic is asked to mark
this date on the cal-
endar and attend.
The committee not-
ed that each year the
number of entries and
support of citizens
has increased. Last
year there were ap-
proximately 150 paid

our paper about the affairs of our city -- finances, ut-
ilities, or any change that would take place.
M. A. (MACK) PIERSON has conducted all city council mee-
tings in a courteous, dignified way. All citizens were
invited to attend and were treated fair and impartial.
M. A. (MACK) PIERSON recently retired after approximate-
ly 50 years with the railroad as supervisor. He superv-
ised countless numbers of people during this time. He
has the experience, education and know-how to meet all
people, citizens, and any public or government official
to help carry on any business. He is now in contact wi-
th government officials in relation to future benefits
for our city.

the U.S. Government to get the two government housing un-
