Fayette Memorial hospital, La
Grange, Texas. The tiny one has
been named Ann Marie.

Mary Ann Piwetz of here.

Mrs. Arthur Frank is a patient
at Fayette Memorial hospital in
La Grange.
Visit At Hostyn
Mrs. Anton Beran and children
accompanied Mrs. Olga Petter
I and children to Hostyn, to visit
with their sister, Sister M. Doro-
thy who teaches school there. It
was also the 12th birthday of
Ann Marie Beran.

Skillet Meals Dem.
Enjoyed By HD Club
Skillet Meals was the demon-
stration at the Home Demon-
stration club meeting on Tues-
day, Feb. 4, 1958, in the home of
Miss Ella Kautz.
Mrs. Lee Krueger prepared the
“Meal in a Skillet, while Mrs.
Ben Rinn demonstrated the En-
chillados and Chili in a Skillet
Meal. The two skillet meals were
served frith Calico slaw, garlic
French Bread, pie, Angel Food
and coffee.
During the business session,
Miss Kautz presiding, a council
report was given: Club contribu-
ted $2.50 to the March.of Dimes;
Recommendations of Council —
Three E, Finance, Recreation, Li-
brary, Civil Defense, Citizenship,
Health and Safety committees
were discussed aud voted on.
Mrs. Cecil Krueger became a
new member. Other visitors were
esdnmes Robert Lee Rinn and
fion Lindemann. Ten members

Oveq Meals will be demonstra-
ted by the Agent at the next meet
ing on March 4th, in the home of
Mrs. Ben Rinn. Interested home-
makers are invited to attend.

The meeting of the WSCS on
Feb. 5, 1958 in the Educational
building of the Methodist church
was opened with a prayer service
of hymns. Scripture and prayers
by Mrs. B. R. Rogers and Miss

Christian Action on the March
topic for the month was present-
ed in a two-part panel discussion
with Mrs. Melvin Spiess as co-
ordinator and panel members,

Ed. Luetge. Part one of the pa-
nel discussion was on our heri-
tage and part two focused on the
relation of our heritage to the
Christian Social Relations quad-
rennial emphasis. Understanding

During the business session,
Mrs. B. R. Rogers, vice president
presiding, Mrs. Alfred Richter
was elected delegate to attend
the annual meeting of the South-
west Texas Conference at Mt.
Wesley, March 18-20; Mesdames
Harry Hackfield, Alfred Hupe
and B. F. Lindemann were elect-
ed on the nominating committee:
A birthday hymn, “O Jesus I
Have Promised’’, was sung for
Mrs. Alfred Richter and Mrs. J.
C. Buenger. Sixty-four siek calls
and cards were reported.
The meeting closed with
Lord’s Prayer.
A delicious lunch consisting of
cake, pie, cookies, sandwiches and
coffee was served.
Boy Scout Service, Sunday
Cub and Boy Scouts, of the lo-
cal units, their leaders, commit-
tee members, and their respec-
tive families attended the ser-
vices at the Methodist church in
a body, on Boy Scout Sunday.
The impressive service and an
inspiring message by the pastor,
Rev. T. Irving King, Jr., made it
a memorable occasion for those
active in. the movement and other
worshippers as well. Members of
the Boy Scout Movement are grate
ful for the opportunity of wor-
shipping together once annually
at one of the churches in our
community, which helps to streng
then our efforts in working to-
gether to make better citizens of
our youth.
Daniel Eckermann Celebrates
Birthday With Supper
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Ecker-
mann honored their son, Daniel
on his 10th birthday with a tur-
key supper on Tuesday, Feb. 4,
1958. Present at this happy oc-
casion were Mr. and Mrs. Albert
