Flora Roeder, president, call-

in Jesus” was sung followed by
the scripture reading by Doris

There was no unfinished busi-
ness to discuss. Under new busi-
ness the matter of choosing a
night to hold our regular meet-
ings on was brought up. It was
decided to continue having the
meetings on the third Monday
of every month as long as that
night might be suitable for ev-
eryone. It was also brought up
and decided to buy a Luther
League handbook out of the
treasury.
The Texas Leaguer and other
material was handed out to all
members. The chairman then
read a letter sent by the editors

zine.
The monthly dues were paid

Golden Text: Colo,,ions is 2 J
Pau) preface* his admonitions
concerninc the Christian Hom* with
general observation* of the Chris-
Uan life. He write* of thing* that
should adorn those who compose
the Christian home.
Every relationship Is given atten-
tion. There is a one-sided appraisal
of the situation First, parents are
considered. Father is to be honored
as the head of the home But hus-
band* are admonished to love their
wive*. Whereby w* conclude that
the “subjection" urged upon the
wife is not servile Love Is never a
hard taskmaster Children are to
obey their parents This would be
universally approved. But parental
^authority Is not to be made hard
and galling.
Thu* far.the pattern of the home
is quite like that of one today But
In the present the servant problem
is conspicuous by Its absence There
are tew servants But where there
are servants, the relationship be-
tween them and their employers
should be one of mutual respect.
Many of the Jest* and much of the
bitterness would be done away if
there could be a better attitude in
labor relations, not only tn the
home but also tn the factory, if
service should be rendered as “un-
to the Lord.” and all should be
given their Just due as in th* sight
of the "Master in Heaven.”
