Regular session of Council
w a s h e 1 d January 9 at 7:00
p. m. with one Councilmem-
ber a b s e n t. The following
business was transacted:
--Appointed M. P. Mathews,
W. N. Wood and Bob Bran-
som to the Board of Adjust-
ment for a term of two years.
- - Request for Pest Control
ordinance discussed and in-
structed Herschel Winn to
draw up an amendment to
the Solicitors Ordinance to
include Pest Controllers.
--Granted Jimmy Rogers, of
RJ Development Co., a wai-
ver on sidewalk installations
on Suzanne Terrace, apart
of Southwest Village Addi-
tion.
--Report on expenditures for
October, November and De-
cember was discussed by
Council.
—Recommendations con-
cerning city radios were
made by Bob Bell, of Bell
Communication. Mr. Bell
suggested the police and city
units change to the same fre-
quency. Council postponed
action until further informa-
tion could be obtained.
—Submitted a letter to the
Council and citizens, by Ci-
ty M a n a g e r, D. R. Ward,
concerning c o m p 1 a i n ts a-
gainst the Chief of Police,
Homer Barns. Council in-
structed Mr. Barns to reply
in writing and called a spe-
cial meeting for Jan. 16.
