AMUSEMENTS.
A press notice says: ,
Miss Mynie .an, the prima don-
na of the "Hreatbreakers" that
Hort H. Singer discovered in Eu-
rope, has had quite an interesting
career. The young lady started in
the choir in Boston, where her voice
attracted attention on account of | Dec-Jan. ...
th* sweetness and timbre. She had " '
been studying at the Conservatory
of Music, and her teachers were
more than anxious for her to take
up concert work. Eben Jordan, tne
well known Boston merchant, had
heard her sing and sugested o her
parent* that she should be sent to
Europe, where he would pay all of
her musi<a] education. After many
people bad come to see her folk*
and urged them to let her have the
advantage of a European education,
they finally decided to let her go.
She studied there for three years,
and it was last summer that Mr.
Singer heard her and engaged her
on the spot. The little lady is of
a modest and retiring nature and it
Is very hard to get her to talk, uu
less you manage to get her in con-
versation on the suffragette ques-
tion and then she becomes animat-
ed. Unlike a grea many of her
friend*, in the theatrical profession,
*he doe* not believe Hu the "wu-
man’s rights question.” Miss Vail
says it seems that women have
