Coit wanted to know if something

was referred to the City Attorney with
instructions Io talk ‘nice’’ to the own-

take a back fid for his junk.

Denton People Should Not Wait Until
it is Too Late.
The appalling death-rate from kidney
disease is due largely to the fact that
the little kidney troubles are usually
neglected until they become serious.
The slight symptoms often give place
to chronic disorders and the sufferer
may slip gradually into-some serious
form of kidney complaint.
If you suffer from backache, head-
aches, dizzy spells; if the kidney secre-
tions are irregular of passage and un-
natural in appearance, do not delay.

he remarked: "this report shows we
had an overdraft in that fund last month
of *7.29881 and the report shows we
made a profit of over ?2,500 for this
month. We discovered an error last
month which should have been credited
amounting to 83.400 and some more and
yet this report shows that the water-
works is *11,439.13 overdrawn."
Then there was something stirring.
Talifaerro ruffled up his hair some
more. McClurkan turned ’round and
looked at Coit and then at the rest of
ttie bunch. Curtis said, "How’s that?"
Alexander said something that sounded
to the reporter like "Gosh!" but the re-
porter mav have been mistaken. They
figured, but could not find what had
happened to the waterworks. While he
was gone they looked it over some
more, but the figures were impenetra-
ble and they all gave it up Coit fig-
ured some more and said that the over-
draft ought tn be *1.552.56—a small
•liff-'renc* of some .*10.000. When James
returned he said that Mr. Linden said
he had not brought down his overdraft
before and that they had just now
found out all about it. Coit said fhey
had not found out all they wanted to
know about it and he moved that ttie
rennrt be referred back to Mr. Ljnden
with instructions to make it over again.
They did it.
Water Pumping Cost Report.
Then a report of the company that
put in the new macninery at the wa-
terworks plant made a report, showing
that water could be pumped from the
wells and placed in the mains against a
pressure of about eighty pounds to ttie
square inch for the sum of -*0.0087 per
1,000 gallons.
A communication from T. F. Jasper,
who wanted to sell -ne city various
and sundry sewer p*^es was read and
the Mayor said he ha<t bought all the
pipe from Mr. Jasper’s concern that the
city could use at present and Jasper's
letter went into the no]e.
Then the chair called for a report 1
from Coif and Curtis regarding their!
conference with the Commissioners’ |
court. They informed the commission .
that the county was -ot ready to take i
up the matter of paving the square at
present, but would make the improve

Coit and Curtis “Schtay mit the court."
