by local applications, as they can-
not reach the diseased portion of
the esr. There is only one way to
cure deafness, and that is constltu
tional remedies. Deafness is caus-
ed by an inflammed condition of
the mucous lining of the Eustachian
Tube. When this tube is inflamed
you have a rumbling sound or im-
perfect hearing, and when it is en-
tirely closed, Deafness is the result,
and unless the inflammation can
be taken out and this tube restored
to its normal condition, hearing will
be destroyed forever; nine cases out
of ten are caused by Catarrh, which
is nothing but an inflamed condi
tion of the mucous surfaces.
We will give One Hundred Dol-
lars for any case of Deafness (caus-
ed by catarrh) that cannot be cured
by Hall’s Catarrh Cure. Send for

Ariel Music Department.
The .Music department of the
Ariel club met Thursday, Dec. 5, at
the home of Mrs. J. S. Crawford.
There were eleven members pres-
ent, and Mesdames Moore, Mc->
tracken and Miss Bailey were
guests. Roll call was answered with
current musical events. The les
son, a review of Italian opera, was
interestingly given by Mrs. Ed Wil-
son Jr., and Mrs. Smith read the
story of Donizetta and “La Favori-
ta.” Mrs. Evers' song, “Oh, My
Fernando,” accompanied by M-s.
Char'es Saunders, was much appre-
<ated. Miss Moore gave a little im-
promptu talk on how the standard
of music was being raised by the
clubs in some places. The hostess
invited the guests to stay, and dur
ing a delightful social hour a dainty
luncheon was served The club then
adjourned to meet Jan. 19 with
Mrs. Smith.

' Our entire line is srlecred with great care and is
bought, direct from the makers almost invariablv: we
never buy gifts from jobbers of tovs, racket store goods

This is the reason you’ll hear people say:
"I saw the dearest little Bridge Set at PALMER’S

The exclusive1 character and high quality nf o j*
gifts appeal to the'good taste of particular people - and
that's why people like to receive a gift from this >tore.
A gift from Palmer's carries with it a g’-e-ter mean-

even bod v knows that this store is building up a store
character and is constantly seeking to raise the standard
of goods sold. » It doesn’t matter whether you like or
dislike the proprietor personally^ you owe it to vour
friends whom you wish to honor with a gift, to visit
Palmer’s and ask to see the gifts.
